This results shows why selecting the best performing sector on our ETF portfolio is important.
With ETFs you can get into any sector(s) that are out there.. Commodities, Currencies, Stock Sectors.
Start your study with Intermarket Analysis and then boil it down to 2 or 3 important sectors that are working. Today you can see the currencies especially a strong King Dollar against the EURO..
Full disclosure: I am long UUP since past couple days.

Thanks for your posting. Could you share specifics of your methodology to take advantage of this market anomoly?
Thanks

Try to put in there "Buying the Best Performing Stock" :)
I am not implying that sector/industry momentum is not important. However, the way this information presented is not very helpful unless there is some hint that we can predict in advance what the best performing sector is going to be.
Nice post and good analysis... thx for sharing... :-)
There is no guarantee which sector will be running with highest speed. Hence you have to pick the top 3 all the time.
The changes will depend on how long you want to play.. I at times prefer 5 day movers, especially in the shaky market..
I typically look for
Higher High and Higher LOWs - Market trending UP
Lower High and Higher Lows - Consolidating Market
Lower High and Lower Lows - Down trend market
Look for 2 to 3 days of same will give you better idea..
